Delete Your Data

HeyMotek lets you request permanent deletion of your data at any time. This page explains how.

1. Who this page is for

This page applies to three groups of people whose data HeyMotek may process:

  • Customers — business owners, agencies, and marketers who subscribe to HeyMotek to track their advertising performance.
  • Visitors — individuals who visited a Customer's website where the HeyMotek tracking snippet is installed.
  • Correspondents — individuals who send WhatsApp messages to a Customer's WhatsApp number that is connected to HeyMotek.

For Visitor and Correspondent data, the Customer is the data controller (they decide how the data is used). We recommend reaching out to that Customer first. If you can't reach them, we'll help — see Section 2.

2. How to request deletion

Email support@heymotek.com with:

  • Subject: "Data deletion request"
  • Which role you're acting as (Customer / Visitor / Correspondent)
  • Your identifier — account email, phone number, or account ID
  • Confirmation that you want permanent deletion

3. What gets deleted

  • Your account, profile, and login credentials
  • All contact records, click events, and message metadata records tied to your identifier (HeyMotek does not store WhatsApp message content — see our Privacy Policy for details)
  • OAuth tokens and integration credentials for connected ad platforms (Meta, Google)
  • Notification preferences and dashboard settings

4. What we retain (and why)

  • Billing records — retained per applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years)
  • Conversion upload logs to Google Ads and Meta Ads — retained for 25 months (standard advertising attribution window)
  • Aggregated, anonymized analytics — no longer tied to your identity, retained for product improvement

These categories match the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.

5. Response time

  • We confirm receipt within 72 hours
  • Deletion completes within 30 days, per GDPR Article 17

6. Revoking integration access (optional, you can do this yourself)

If you previously connected Meta or Google to HeyMotek, you can revoke the app's access independently:

⚠️ Important: revoking integration access alone does not delete data stored at HeyMotek. Use Section 2 above to request full deletion.

(We currently only integrate with Meta and Google — there are no other ad platforms to revoke.)
